Getting Started

1. Is the app available on iOS, Android, and desktop?

The app is available for iOS and Android. We have optimized the experience for mobile devices like iPhones and Android phones, however the app will work on devices like iPads, MacBooks, tablets, and PCs that can run native mobile apps.

2. Is the app available in my Country?

Date Right Stuff is currently available in the US and Canada app stores. We hope to expand globally some day. If you'd like us to come to your Country please let us know at [email protected]

3. Why is my profile still pending or not approved?

Profiles typically take up to 24 hours for approval. If your profile is still pending, it may be under review due to incomplete information or flagged content.

Profiles with memes are not allowed. Additionally, if we believe the profile to be fraudulent, spam, a scam, used for solicitations, or disingenuous in any way, it will not be approved.

We also won’t approve profiles that:

  • Consist of photos that do not feature you (you should be in every photo of your profile)

  • Contain only close-up selfies

  • Have photos where you are not clearly visible (e.g., face covered by the phone, blurry, too far away, heavily filtered)

  • Include photos that are identical or too similar to one another

Photos should be unique, high resolution, and include you in them. We typically suggest having a range of photos, such as:

  • Doing an activity or enjoying a hobby

  • Candid photo at an event

  • Group shot amongst friends and/or family

  • Wearing formal or professional attire

Profiles with a variety of photos tend to perform better.

4. How do I filter by age, distance, or others?

You can set your match preferences by going to the Profile Tab > Preferences

We do our best to find potential matches that fit your preferences exactly. However these are not 'deal breakers' and the system may suggest profiles that are slightly outside of your preferences.

5. Can I use the app to find friends instead of dates?

No, at least not yet. If you would like a feature to find friends, business contacts, etc. please let us know at [email protected]

6. How does the app work? What are the basics?

The app is broken into 5 main pages:

  1. Discover: Find new potential matches

    • Tap the heart to send a quick like. Once sent, they will disappear and move to the "Likes tab" Pending section

    • Tap the message bubble to send a like with a comment. Once sent, they will disappear and move to the "Likes tab" Pending section

    • Tap their name or swipe left to view their profile details

    • Tap on the right side of the photo to skip ahead to the next photo

    • Swipe up to skip that profile

    • Swipe down to go back one

    • If you reach the end, you'll have an opportunity to review skipped profiles

  2. Activity: See what people are doing, post fun date ideas and move past basic profiles

    • Posts can be Events, Date invites, Photos, or short blurbs (video and gallery coming soon)

    • Tap the heart to send a quick like (you'll have a chance to add a comment later if you wish)

    • Tap the comment bubble to send a comment (you'll be able to edit later)

    • Post your own activity and watch the matches role in!

  3. Likes: See who likes you and who you have liked pending a response. Pending are people you have liked. Premium members can revisit those people, add/edit their comments until the person has responded by liking you back or marking 'not interested'. 

  4. Messages: Whether you match in discover, activity, or a combination; all matches lead to the messages tab. Once matched a message thread is automatically created and the two of you can chat as long as you wish.

  5. Profile: Control center for all things about your profile and account

Improving Your Experience

7. I’m not getting many matches. How can I improve my profile?

Here are some ways to increase your chances of matching:

  • Update your photos: Use a mix of solo, group, and activity-based pictures. Avoid all selfies

  • Write a strong bio: Showcase your personality and interests

  • Be active: Engage daily by liking, commenting, posting, and exploring profiles

8. How do I get the most out of the app?

  • Use all your daily likes

  • Post activity updates to stay visible

  • Engage with profiles by liking and commenting

  • Try premium for additional daily likes, access to all pending profiles at once, and ability to add/edit comments

9. How do I change my song on my profile?

Go to Profile > Preview > Music and update your song selection by searching for the song you want or selecting from our playlist

10. I'm unable to upload photos or edit old photos, what do I do?

In most cases this is due to an outdated, unsupported version of the app. Try deleting the app off your phone, reinstalling, and signing back in. Be sure not to delete your profile, just delete/uninstall the app. Your profile will still be there when signed back. When you are back in your profile you should see the photos as expected and have access to change them.

Couple things to check if still having trouble:

  1. Does Date Right Stuff have access to your photos. iPhone settings > Right Stuff > photo permissions. Allow all or select photos

  2. Does your iPhone allow apps to make changes to photo permissions. iPhone settings > screen time > content and privacy permissions -> photos mark to allow.

If still stuck, please send screenshots. When you hit the ‘+’ icon your gallery should pop up. Tap the photo you want, crop as needed, save.

Save/next at bottom to preview your profile with new photos. Save. Send to [email protected]

Safety & Reporting

11. I think a profile is fake. How do I report it?

To report a profile, go to their profile page > tap the options menu (⋯) > select "Report" and choose the reason. This will also block them from seeing your profile.

It is unfortunate these people exist, but it is a reality we continue to fight in order to improve the experience on the app. Our goal is to have 100% real and genuine users. If/when bad actors do slip through; please report them right away. We review reported profiles daily and act swiftly to remove and ban them.

Some tips to consider when you are not sure about a profile:

  • Be mindful of scammers (better safe than sorry)

  • Trust your gut (if it feels sketchy, it probably is)

  • Communicate on the app as long as you need

  • Never share personal information you are not comfortable having public (credit card info, address, phone number, etc)

  • Red flag if someone asks you for money or assistance of some sort

  • Red flag if someone is over affectionate right away; calling you babe, honey, my love, etc

  • Red flag if someone asks you right away to talk another app

12. What is being done to keep scammers off the app?

We verify every profile manually and use AI-powered detection to remove fake accounts. Our invite-only system helps maintain authenticity. If you spot a scammer, report them immediately.

We'll also be introducing a live verification check to verify profiles and indicate those profiles with a check mark in the app
(Coming in 2025)

Premium & Subscription

13. What are the benefits of a premium membership?

Premium members get:

  • Double the daily likes (30 vs. 15)

  • Access to see everyone who likes you at once (free members move one at a time)

  • Ability to review and edit pending comments

Going Premium isn’t just about extra features—it’s about supporting a community of like-minded conservative singles looking for meaningful connections. Premium helps conservative couples find one another more easily while also supporting our young company as we continue to grow, expand, and bring this service to more people across the country—and hopefully the world one day.

Most importantly, we know it works. So far, over 100 marriages have been shared with us, new babies are being born, and thousands of people are meeting every day. By going Premium, you're helping build and strengthen the future of conservative, traditional families.

14. Do I have to go premium to use the app?

No, the app is fully functional for free. Premium unlocks additional perks but is not required to match with others.

Free members, like Premium, have access to unlimited messaging in the app.

15. Will premium help me get more matches?

Yes! Premium users have more visibility and engagement tools, which can increase your chances of matching.

Account Management

16. I have a new phone number and cannot access my account, what do I do?

No problem. When signing in look for the 'Recover Account' button under the phone number line. Follow the prompts to receive a code via your recovery email. Once signed in you can update your phone number by going to the profile tab > Account > Phone. Enter your new number > tap 'update phone number' > verify new number with OTP code.

If this option is not available check you have the newest version of the app. If still having trouble accessing your account please reach out to [email protected]

17. I need a break, can I pause my account?

Yes! We know people need breaks sometimes. You can pause your account by going to Profile Tab > Account > Pause Account.

Once paused, you'll still have access to all your existing matches and can continue messaging them.

However:

  • Your profile will no longer be discoverable

  • Your activity will no longer be visible

  • Your profile will be hidden from the likes page and post grids

  • You won’t receive new matches while your account is paused

Keep in mind, pausing your profile does not pause your subscription.

18. What if I want to cancel my subscription?

We hope you’ll continue exploring the app on the free version—there are still plenty of benefits! If you’re not yet seeing the value in Premium, staying on the free version might be a good option.

We’re still a young company compared to competitors who have been around for 15+ years, but we’re growing every day across the U.S. and Canada, with members in all age groups. The majority of our users are 18-30 and located in major metros like New York, Chicago, and Southern California, as well as top states like Florida, Texas, and Pennsylvania.

To respect your privacy, we let Apple and Google manage all payments and memberships. If you need to cancel, please do so directly through them:

Apple Users:

Go to iPhone settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Date Right Stuff

Android Users:

Go the Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions > Date Right Stuff

If you feel a refund is due, you'll also need to request them directly from Apple or Google:

19. What if I want to delete my account?

We’d hate to see you go!

Before deleting, consider pausing your account or trying some of our success tips to improve your experience. You can also cancel your subscription and continue using the free version—many members find value in staying connected.

If you’re sure you want to delete your account, follow these steps:

Go to Profile Tab > Account > Scroll to Bottom > Delete > Confirm

  • Warning: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be reversed. You will lose access to all your matches, conversations, and profile data. If you ever want to return, you’ll need to create a new account from scratch.
